Meet Blake McKinley, Jr., D.D.S.

Raised in Kodiak, Alaska, Dr. McKinley, Jr. relocated to Spokane in 1976 as a teenager after his Dad completed a two-year Endodontic residency at Boston University. After earning his dental degree from Creighton University in 1995, Dr. McKinley and his wife along with their infant son moved from Omaha to Boston for his Endodontic residency at Boston University. After completing his residency under Dr. Herbert Schilder, Dr. McKinley and his wife and family returned to Spokane in 1997 and purchased his father’s practice. In so doing a legacy was established.

Dr. McKinley, Jr. and his father enjoyed practicing together for five years before the retirement of his father in 2002. This collaborative period facilitated a smooth transition and continuity of care. In so doing, the philosophy and principles established by his father, and through their training under Dr. Schilder, have remained intact.

Dr. McKinley and his wife, Dana, have two adult sons, Paul and Scott. Outside of Spokane Endodontics, Dr. McKinley enjoys being part of the general aviation community, advocating for continued quality patient care through the dental community, and involvement in Special Needs community activities.
